Below is additional information about NLP, Coaching and Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Please contact me if you have any further questions about what I can offer for YOU and/or YOUR organisation.
What is NLP?
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) focuses on what are considered to be the most influential components of how people, see the world, interact with others, behave and decide to make change.
Neuro – The way in which we think
Linguistic – The way in which we communicate
Programming – The way in which we behave
By having this understanding and awareness I can use tools, techniques, models and strategies to enable YOU to make positive change for YOUR future.
What is Coaching?
The opportunity for YOU to spend time focusing and identifying what it is that YOU truly want to be, do or have. Each session will explore the outcome that YOU want to achieve, identify what resources YOU have or need to be able to achieve it. Understand how much YOU want to achieve this and consider what is stopping YOU. The session allows YOU to take ownership and decide the first step for YOUR Journey.
We will always focus on YOUR outcome, this will be central to how we work together. By taking the time we can explore how YOU can achieve YOUR outcome considering what may have stopped YOU in the past and investigating how to make sure it never stops YOU again.
What is MBTI?
The first stage of using Myers Briggs is for you to understand and appreciate your own type. We often consider:
- What can I focus on to be more effective in how I work or live my life?
- How can I work more effectively with others?
- What is the best environment for me to be in, work or personal?
- If I am placed in a stressful situation what must I do to protect myself?
We are all unique individuals; however, we share similar characteristics with others. Myers Briggs identifies 16 preferences types and helps us to understand more about ourselves and the way in which we do things that are comfortable or preferred for us. The type indicator is a self completed form either online or paper form. From this four dimensions are identified and for each dimension there are two options. These are dimensions look at the following key areas;
Where you prefer to get you energy from – Introversion v’s Extroversion
How you prefer to gather information – Sensing v’s iNtuition
How you prefer to make your decisions – Thinking v’s Feeling
How you prefer to deal with the world around you – Judging v’s Perceiving
Having this self-awareness allows us to interact more effectively with others, be better leaders and have stronger more cohesive and collaborative teams. The Myers Briggs framework helps us appreciate differences, value diversity, improve problem solving, improve relationships, manage change, developing leadership style and enhancing our ability to achieve success.
